Patriot Hosta

Patriot Hosta is a popular, award-winning perennial known for its large, deep green leaves with wide, crisp white, wavy margins that brighten shady spots. Growing roughly 
15-20 inches tall and  24-30 inches wide, it forms a dense, mounded habit. This low-maintenance, hardy plant produces lavender flowers in mid-summer, prefers partial to full shade, and is excellent for borders or containers. 

Key Characteristics and Care

• Foliage: Dark green centers with, in spring, creamy-yellow margins that turn brilliant white later in the season.
• Flowers: Lavender, bell-shaped flowers appear on 
   inch scapes in mid-to-late summer.
• Light: Thrives in partial to full shade.
• Soil: Prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
• Size: Medium-sized; 15-20 inches tall and up to 30 inches wide.
• Maintenance: Low; clean up old foliage in early spring.
• Hardiness: Generally hardy in zones 3–9.

Patriot hosta is a "sport" (a genetic mutation) of the variety 'Francee'. It is known for its strong, high-contrast coloration and robust growth.
