Snow Fever Helleborus

Helleborus argutifolius 'Snow Fever', also known as Snow Fever Hellebore or Lenten Rose, is a prized evergreen perennial known for its distinctive variegated foliage and winter-to-spring blooms. It offers year-round interest and is a relatively low-maintenance plant. 

Key Characteristics

• Foliage: The deep green, thick, leathery leaves have striking pink and white or mint green variegation that can look "snow-frosted". The foliage color is persistent throughout the year.
• Flowers: The plant produces nodding, cup-shaped flowers that are a creamy or light green color, often with pinkish tints, in late winter and early spring.
• Mature Size: It typically grows to be about 12 to 24 inches tall and wide.
  Hardiness Zone: It is hardy in USDA zones 6a through 9b.

Growing Conditions

• Light: The plant does best in partial shade to full shade, thriving in dappled light conditions, such as under deciduous trees.
• Soil: It prefers rich, well-drained soil but is adaptable to average conditions, including clay. It is important to avoid standing water.
