• Light Requirements: Unlike many hostas, 'Stained Glass' is highly sun-tolerant. It performs best in partial shade (4-6 hours of sun) but can tolerate more sun, which intensifies its gold color.
• Size and Growth: This variety forms a large mound, reaching approximately 15–16 inches in height and spreading 24–48 inches wide.
• Foliage: The leaves are large (up to 10 inches long), featuring brilliant gold centers and wide, dark green, shiny margins.
• Flowers: In late summer, it produces large, fragrant, pale lavender flowers on 30-inch scapes.
• Water and Soil: It prefers moist, well-drained, rich soil. While established plants have some drought tolerance, consistent moisture is best to prevent the leaves from burning, especially in sunny spots.
